Pretty Amazing

I am sharing the final three cards that I created at last years Spellbinders Weekender Virtual Retreat, it is the 2025 retreat this weekend and I'm really looking forward to it.

All three cards are created using dies by Nichol Spohr along with the Weekender Sentiment stamps.  We created the background on this card by stamping with white ink on black cardstock, I found it quite difficult to get the stamping straight!  Everything else was made using the Gathering Stitches dies.

We created the background for this card the same way as the previous one, we used the Needleworker Tool Kit dies on this one,

This card was created with Michelle Short, she is another of my favourite designers, she mainly creates clean and simple cards - something I find rather difficult.  The background is just coloured cardstock with a little ink around the edges, we used the Gathering Stitches dies again.

Thank you for visiting my blog today, your company is much appreciated. I apologise for not getting around to visit any of your blogs - I just can't seem to find the time lately!

Sunny Days Ahead!

I have some more cards to share that I have created with the Simple Stories Vintage Flower Shoppe collection - I love this collection, I have created lots of cards with it and I still have lots of the papers and ephemera left.

I have used three of the papers and some of the die cut cardstock pieces, I cut the sentiment from one of the papers and fussy cut the butterfly from another paper.

I have used three more of the papers on this card, some of the cardstock pieces again and the sentiment topper is from another of the papers.

I seem to have used three papers on all of my cards, I have also used another of the large toppers, some cardstock pieces and a fussy cut butterfly on this card.

This time two of the papers are from the Flower Shoppe collection and I cut the frame from one of the papers in the Vintage Basics kit, I also used some more of the cardstock pieces.

Thanks so much for visiting today, I will be back in a couple of days with some more cards, I hope you will join me then.

The Adventure Begins

I am sharing two more of the cards that I created at last years Spellbinders Weekender Virtual Retreat - it's nearly time for the 2025 retreat, I'm really looking forward to it.

My first card was created using the Tunnel Scapes Dies by Vicky Papaioannou, we also used the Fly Away Dies and the Weekender Sentiments.

My second card uses the Shine Bright Collection by Carissa Wiley, there is a die to cut the words and a stencil to create the background.

That's all for now, hopefully catch you again soon.

Simple Vintage Flower Shoppe

I have been playing with the Simple Stories Vintage Flower Shoppe - this is a beautiful collection, Spellbinders has launched some dies to go with the paper collection, I'm sure I will be sharing some cards using them in the near future.

These cards all share the same basic design, I have just changed up the die cut shape I have used to layer the stickers and die cut cardstock pieces on.

I have used the pink pages from the 12 x 12 Vintage Basics Paper Kit that goes with the collection along with my Hunkydory Scalloped Corner Rectangles die and some of the die cut cardstock pieces.

This time I used the green papers, my Spellbinders Mirrored Arch and some of the stickers.

This time I used the mustard papers and a plain rectangle die, all of the butterflies on my cards have been fussy cut from one of the papers.

For my final card I used the blue papers along with my Spellbinders Essential Arches die.

Sunset in a Glass

These are some more of the cards that I created last year when I took part in the Spellbinders Weekender Virtual Retreat.

This first card was created with Kim Kesti, we used the Lush Leaves Embossing Folder and some inks to create the background - the dies are from the Sunset in a Glass and Tropical Flair collections.

This card is a Mindy Eggen design using the same dies but this time we created a galaxy background with coloured card stock, inks and some white splatters.  This was something quite different for me, I usually use patterned papers - I have to say I enjoyed making the different backgrounds.

The final card is a Vicky Papaioannou design, she is another of my favourite designers.  We used the embossing folder again for the background and added a few splatters, the dies are from the Tropical Flair Die Set.

That's all for now, hopefully catch you again soon.

Birthday Chrysanthemums

I have four cards to share today, I used the Hunkydory In Full Bloom Deco-large collection, there are lots of beautiful florals in this collection.

I created this card for my son to give his Nan for her Birthday last year, I often use Hunkydory collections to make her cards because she loves flowers and Hunkydory have the most beautiful floral collections.

I decided to echo the shape of the topper to create this card base.  I don't use all of the layers of decoupage on the toppers because there are so many layers it would make the cards very expensive to post.  It also means that you can create more cards for each set - each set includes an A5 base layer, a matching A4 Deco-Large element sheet and a printed A4 cardstock sheet, if you purchase the complete collection you get two of each design.

This card uses some of the cardstock along with several layers of the decoupage, a sentiment and a butterfly to embellish.

For my final card I have used more of the cardstock and decoupage along with a sentiment.

Thanks so much for visiting today, I will be back in a couple of days with some more cards, I hope you will join me then.

Thanks a Bunch

It's been a while hasn't it, I just don't seem to be able to get organised at the moment!

I have decided to participate in the Spellbinders Weekender 2025 Virtual Retreat so I thought it was probably time to share the cards that I made during the Weekender that I took part in last year.

I really enjoyed last years retreat, it's a shame we can't join all of the sessions live, being in the UK some of the times are not very convenient but there are plenty that are OK and you can catch up with those that aren't at your convenience.

These are the two cards that we created using Yana's Poppy, I love all of Yana's Bloom collections, they are so easy to use.

The first card has quite a simple background, just coloured card stock and a little ink.  The main blooms are cut from white card stock with a little colour added using Copic markers, the gold outline is added after.

My second card has an inked and embossed background, we also added the Sunset Glass that is included in the die collection - you will see it again on some of the other cards that we created.

Thank you for visiting my blog today, your company is much appreciated.

Hydrangeas and Lace

I have created four cards with the  Nature's Garden Hydrangea collection from Crafter's Companion.

I actually did some colouring for a change along with some stamping and die cutting, the papers are also from the collection.

I decided to do completely different colours for this card, I also used the embossing folder from the collection.

Back to purple for this card, I also used one of my older Crafter's Companion dies to decorate the corners.

For my final card I created a centre step card.

That's all for now, hopefully catch you again soon.

Easter Eggs

I have four more Easter Cards to share using the Photoplay Hop TO IT collection.

This is a slimline card, I really don't make enough slimline cards, it is easy to just make the same shape and size all the time.  Everything is from the collection, lots of my favourite fussy cutting.

I loved the cute carrot banner so much that I fussy cut another one from the cover sheet to use on this card.

I cut the scalloped borders at the top and bottom of this card using my Clearly Besotted edge die.

I used an EK Success punch to create the scalloped border on this card and created the rosette with my Tim Holtz Paper Rosette Die.

Thanks so much for visiting today, I will be back in a couple of days with some more cards, I hope you will join me then.

Easter Egg Hunt

I have some more Easter Cards to share today, this time I have used the Photoplay Hop TO IT collection.  All of my cards were created using just the Photoplay collection, I have only used some dies and punches to add detail.

I used five of the papers on this card, I rounded the corners on the topper and used my Fishtail Flag dies to create the two little banners.

I used three of the papers on this card, I fussy cut the little banner, the tag is from the sticker sheet along with all of the other bits and pieces.  I also used my binding edge punch and added white twine to the tag.

For my third card I used three of the papers and one of the toppers which I framed with my Tangled Circle die.  I also used some stickers and a butterfly fussy cut from one of the patterned papers

On my final card I used three of the papers, a topper and some stickers, I used an Inverted Corner Rectangle nesting die to cut the panels and my fishtail flag die to cut the banners.

Easter Happiness

I have some Easter cards to share today, I have used the Echo Park Easter Wishes collection.  My inspiration came from Anya's Projects on Scrapbook.com, she has lots of beautiful cards on there, pop over and take a look.

I have used papers from the Easter Wishes collection along with several fussy cut bits and bobs, I cut the clouds using dies from the Crafter's Companion Colour Your World collection.

I used velum to separate the little scene from the base and used a Scalloped Edge Die to cut the border at the top.

Me & You

I have four more Valentine cards to share today.  I have used the Photoplay Smitten collection .  I previously posted four other cards using this collection, you can find them HERE if you missed them.

Playing with paper is definitely my favourite, I just love cutting and layering up patterned papers.  I used the cover sheet as the background on this card, I just added die cut ovals, a sticker and a punched border tied with twine.

I used three of the papers, a topper and some stickers on this card.

I used the opposite triangles of paper that were left from the previous card here along with some stickers.

For my final card, I used more of the papers, a topper and some stickers.  I made a rosette from one of the papers and topped it with a sticker.

We have just started planting seeds for the veg garden and greenhouse, it's going to get busy in the garden over the next few months, I'm really looking forward to the warmer weather and spending some time outside.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today, your company is much appreciated - I hope to get some time to visit everyone this week, fingers crossed!
