Sunny Days Ahead!

I have some more cards to share that I have created with the Simple Stories Vintage Flower Shoppe collection - I love this collection, I have created lots of cards with it and I still have lots of the papers and ephemera left.

I have used three of the papers and some of the die cut cardstock pieces, I cut the sentiment from one of the papers and fussy cut the butterfly from another paper.

I have used three more of the papers on this card, some of the cardstock pieces again and the sentiment topper is from another of the papers.

I seem to have used three papers on all of my cards, I have also used another of the large toppers, some cardstock pieces and a fussy cut butterfly on this card.

This time two of the papers are from the Flower Shoppe collection and I cut the frame from one of the papers in the Vintage Basics kit, I also used some more of the cardstock pieces.

Thanks so much for visiting today, I will be back in a couple of days with some more cards, I hope you will join me then.

The Adventure Begins

I am sharing two more of the cards that I created at last years Spellbinders Weekender Virtual Retreat - it's nearly time for the 2025 retreat, I'm really looking forward to it.

My first card was created using the Tunnel Scapes Dies by Vicky Papaioannou, we also used the Fly Away Dies and the Weekender Sentiments.

My second card uses the Shine Bright Collection by Carissa Wiley, there is a die to cut the words and a stencil to create the background.

That's all for now, hopefully catch you again soon.

Simple Vintage Flower Shoppe

I have been playing with the Simple Stories Vintage Flower Shoppe - this is a beautiful collection, Spellbinders has launched some dies to go with the paper collection, I'm sure I will be sharing some cards using them in the near future.

These cards all share the same basic design, I have just changed up the die cut shape I have used to layer the stickers and die cut cardstock pieces on.

I have used the pink pages from the 12 x 12 Vintage Basics Paper Kit that goes with the collection along with my Hunkydory Scalloped Corner Rectangles die and some of the die cut cardstock pieces.

This time I used the green papers, my Spellbinders Mirrored Arch and some of the stickers.

This time I used the mustard papers and a plain rectangle die, all of the butterflies on my cards have been fussy cut from one of the papers.

For my final card I used the blue papers along with my Spellbinders Essential Arches die.

Thank you for visiting my blog today, your company is much appreciated.

Sunset in a Glass

These are some more of the cards that I created last year when I took part in the Spellbinders Weekender Virtual Retreat.

This first card was created with Kim Kesti, we used the Lush Leaves Embossing Folder and some inks to create the background - the dies are from the Sunset in a Glass and Tropical Flair collections.

This card is a Mindy Eggen design using the same dies but this time we created a galaxy background with coloured card stock, inks and some white splatters.  This was something quite different for me, I usually use patterned papers - I have to say I enjoyed making the different backgrounds.

The final card is a Vicky Papaioannou design, she is another of my favourite designers.  We used the embossing folder again for the background and added a few splatters, the dies are from the Tropical Flair Die Set.

That's all for now, hopefully catch you again soon.

Birthday Chrysanthemums

I have four cards to share today, I used the Hunkydory In Full Bloom Deco-large collection, there are lots of beautiful florals in this collection.

I created this card for my son to give his Nan for her Birthday last year, I often use Hunkydory collections to make her cards because she loves flowers and Hunkydory have the most beautiful floral collections.

I decided to echo the shape of the topper to create this card base.  I don't use all of the layers of decoupage on the toppers because there are so many layers it would make the cards very expensive to post.  It also means that you can create more cards for each set - each set includes an A5 base layer, a matching A4 Deco-Large element sheet and a printed A4 cardstock sheet, if you purchase the complete collection you get two of each design.

This card uses some of the cardstock along with several layers of the decoupage, a sentiment and a butterfly to embellish.

For my final card I have used more of the cardstock and decoupage along with a sentiment.

Thanks so much for visiting today, I will be back in a couple of days with some more cards, I hope you will join me then.

Thanks a Bunch

It's been a while hasn't it, I just don't seem to be able to get organised at the moment!

I have decided to participate in the Spellbinders Weekender 2025 Virtual Retreat so I thought it was probably time to share the cards that I made during the Weekender that I took part in last year.

I really enjoyed last years retreat, it's a shame we can't join all of the sessions live, being in the UK some of the times are not very convenient but there are plenty that are OK and you can catch up with those that aren't at your convenience.

These are the two cards that we created using Yana's Poppy, I love all of Yana's Bloom collections, they are so easy to use.

The first card has quite a simple background, just coloured card stock and a little ink.  The main blooms are cut from white card stock with a little colour added using Copic markers, the gold outline is added after.

My second card has an inked and embossed background, we also added the Sunset Glass that is included in the die collection - you will see it again on some of the other cards that we created.

Thank you for visiting my blog today, your company is much appreciated.

Hydrangeas and Lace

I have created four cards with the  Nature's Garden Hydrangea collection from Crafter's Companion.

I actually did some colouring for a change along with some stamping and die cutting, the papers are also from the collection.

I decided to do completely different colours for this card, I also used the embossing folder from the collection.

Back to purple for this card, I also used one of my older Crafter's Companion dies to decorate the corners.

For my final card I created a centre step card.

That's all for now, hopefully catch you again soon.
